Taking portraits makes most people feel awkward, and I get it! Being photographed can make you feel vulnerable. A complete stranger is telling you what to do, meanwhile you're in your head wondering if you're "doing it right", all while there's a massive lens in your face.
My philosophy is simple: great photos don't come from perfect poses - they come from genuine moments! My job isn't just to take pictures, it's to create an environment where you can relax, laugh, and genuinely enjoy the experience. I pride myself on bringing comfort to each and every session I show up to; if you've seen my social media, you know that I bring a lot of energy and laughter wherever I go. I guide all my clients through everything so that they're never left wondering what to do, and I embrace the little awkward moments by turning them into laughter!
About your photographer: I'm naturally extroverted, which means sessions are rarely quiet or overly serious. While I maintain a professional demeanor, my clients always tell me how much ease I give them with my genuine nature.
What this means for you: Somewhere in between the first few frames and the last shot of the session, something typically changes. The nerves fade, the laughs become real, and you start to forget that there's a camera there. And that's exactly when the magic happens! Portraits go from posed and forced, to natural and pure. In that moment, you're no longer thinking about the camera, you're just being yourself. The smiles become genuine, the movements become effortless, and the emotions captured in your portraits are real. That's the goal of every session I shoot - to make you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to capture photos that you'll look back at with happy nostalgia for years to come.
Step-by-Step Experience
Below is a simple four-step process to how it works:

If you're here already, the good news is you've found me! You can either reach out to me directly at 520-358-8119, or you can scroll to the bottom of any page on this website to fill out my information form. From there, I'll reach out to you to get some information regarding your desired photoshoot. This can either take the form of texting, calling, or setting up a formal consultation. Since I respect your time, consultations are not mandatory but completely optional! Either way, I'll ask you some questions to give me an idea of what you're looking for, we'll find a time and place for your shoot, and we'll get you formally booked.

The big day! We'll meet up at the location you want, at the time that works. Before we start, we'll get to know each other a little bit and take some warm-up shots. By the end of the day, you'll be wondering whether I'm your photographer, or your friend! The laughs will be endless, the moments will be beautiful, and the camera will be there capturing it all.
03.
This step is optional. "Culling" is the process of sorting through and selecting the best images from a photoshoot. While most clients opt for their photographer to cull, I offer my clients the option to look through their raw images and select which ones they'd like to be edited for their final gallery. This way, you have the final say as to which images you'd like to keep forever. That said, I'm happy to cull for you! You can trust that I will select the images that make you look your best. You will be asked whether or not you would like to cull your images at the end of our photoshoot.
04.
In about 3 weeks, you'll be granted access to your beautiful, timeless portraits. Your images will be posted in an online gallery. Directly there, you'll have the option to print out any of your images. You're already investing in your portraits, so why not print them? Prints look great hung up at home, in the office, or when sent to friends and family.

How do you handle payment?
I require clients to put a deposit on their photoshoot to lock in their booking. I typically ask for 50% due at the time of signing your contract, but I'm very flexible here.
I ask for the balance of the fee to be paid by the day of your photoshoot, prior to when we meet up. If you require assistance and would like to set up a payment plan, reach out to me and I'm happy to find a solution with you.
Do you help with locations?
Yes! By far the most important aspect of planning your shoot is determining where we will physically meet up for it. I have a (very) long list of viable locations with photo examples all over Arizona. I'll be begin by asking what type of aesthetic you would like, and then I'll create a guide that I'll send you. All you have to do is pick and choose!
What should I wear?
Once we determine your location, I'll send you a guide that gives tips on what colors and textures to wear based on the setting, your vibe, and the overall aesthetic you're trying to capture.
Do you only shoot dark and moody?
Absolutely not! While this is the style that I've become best known for, my skillset is versatile. Some clients opt for light and airy images when, for example, they want to create a happy and whimsical mood. Just let me know what you're looking for specifically, and we can work together to create that style in your portraits.
Can I bring my partner/family/dog?
You can bring whoever and whatever you'd like to be photographed! You are in complete control of your session. You can show up just by yourself, or you can bring a village with you. Either way, your portraits will include whatever you want them to.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
Bad weather, scheduling conflicts... life happens. No matter the reason, I get you. If you need to reschedule your session, just let me know at least two hours before your scheduled shoot time and we'll find a new date that works for you with no fee. My goal is to keep the experience stress-free from start to finish. As long as there's a little bit of notice, I'm always happy to move things around to make sure we can still create something great together.
